The TSG101 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB2216) is a valuable tool for researchers studying TSG101, a protein involved in cellular processes such as endosomal sorting and intracellular trafficking. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the TSG101 protein, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of TSG101 in various cell types, making it an ideal choice for research in fields such as cell biology and cancer biology.
TSG101 plays a crucial role in the regulation of cellular pathways and has been implicated in diseases such as cancer and viral infections. Understanding the function of TSG101 is essential for elucidating its role in disease progression and for developing targeted therapies. The TSG101 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB2216) provides researchers with a reliable tool for investigating the function of TSG101 and its potential as a therapeutic target.

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to a group of apparently inactive homologs of ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes. The gene product contains a coiled-coil domain that interacts with stathmin, a cytosolic phosphoprotein implicated in tumorigenesis. The protein may play a role in cell growth and differentiation and act as a negative growth regulator. In vitro steady-state expression of this tumor susceptibility gene appears to be important for maintenance of genomic stability and cell cycle regulation. Mutations and alternative splicing in this gene occur in high frequency in breast cancer and suggest that defects occur during breast cancer tumorigenesis and/or progression.
