The TRPV4 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB5660) is a valuable tool for research involving the TRPV4 protein, a member of the transient receptor potential (TRP) family of ion channels. TRPV4 is known to play a crucial role in various physiological processes, such as osmotic regulation, mechanosensation, and thermosensation. This polyclonal antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly specific and reactive to human samples, making it an ideal choice for experiments in Western blot applications. By binding to the TRPV4 protein, researchers can accurately detect and analyze its expression in different cell types, paving the way for insights into its function and potential therapeutic implications.
The TRPV4 Polyclonal Antibody is particularly valuable for studies in the fields of sensory biology, pain perception, and diseases associated with TRPV4 dysfunction. By gaining a deeper understanding of TRPV4's role in human health and disease, researchers can potentially uncover novel targets for drug development and personalized medicine approaches.
Product Name:
TRPV4 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CAB5660
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit
Reactivity:
Human
Immunogen:
A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 800-871 of human TRPV4 (NP_067638.3).
This gene encodes a member of the OSM9-like transient receptor potential channel (OTRPC) subfamily in the transient receptor potential (TRP) superfamily of ion channels. The encoded protein is a Ca2+-permeable, nonselective cation channel that is thought to be involved in the regulation of systemic osmotic pressure. Mutations in this gene are the cause of spondylometaphyseal and metatropic dysplasia and hereditary motor and sensory neuropathy type IIC. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
