The TRPV3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB8598) is a specialized tool for researchers studying the TRPV3 protein, a member of the transient receptor potential (TRP) family of ion channels. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high specificity for human samples and has been rigorously validated for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the TRPV3 protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis of TRPV3 expression in a variety of cell types, making it an essential tool for investigations in the fields of molecular biology and physiology.
TRPV3 is known for its involvement in various physiological processes, including thermosensation, pain perception, and skin barrier function. Dysfunction of TRPV3 has been implicated in a range of diseases, such as chronic pain conditions, dermatological disorders, and metabolic syndromes. As such, studying the role of TRPV3 using this antibody may provide valuable insights into the underlying mechanisms of these conditions, leading to the development of novel therapeutic strategies aimed at modulating TRPV3 activity for clinical benefit.

This gene product belongs to a family of nonselective cation channels that function in a variety of processes, including temperature sensation and vasoregulation. The thermosensitive members of this family are expressed in subsets of sensory neurons that terminate in the skin, and are activated at distinct physiological temperatures. This channel is activated at temperatures between 22 and 40 degrees C. This gene lies in close proximity to another family member gene on chromosome 17, and the two encoded proteins are thought to associate with each other to form heteromeric channels. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
