The TRPC6 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB8155) is a valuable tool for researchers studying Transient Receptor Potential Canonical 6 (TRPC6), a cation channel protein involved in various cellular processes such as calcium signaling, cell proliferation, and cell migration. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity towards human samples, making it suitable for Western blot applications.TRPC6 has been implicated in a wide range of pathological conditions, including cardiovascular diseases, kidney disorders, and neurological disorders. By targeting TRPC6 with this antibody, researchers can gain insights into the role of this protein in disease development and progression.
The ability to detect and analyze TRPC6 expression in different cell types makes this antibody a valuable asset for studies in physiology, pharmacology, and drug development.Furthermore, understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying TRPC6 function is crucial for the development of targeted therapies that could potentially benefit patients with TRPC6-associated disorders. By using the TRPC6 Polyclonal Antibody in their research, scientists can advance our knowledge of TRPC6 biology and potentially identify novel therapeutic targets for various diseases.

The protein encoded by this gene forms a receptor-activated calcium channel in the cell membrane. The channel is activated by diacylglycerol and is thought to be under the control of a phosphatidylinositol second messenger system. Activation of this channel occurs independently of protein kinase C and is not triggered by low levels of intracellular calcium. Defects in this gene are a cause of focal segmental glomerulosclerosis 2 (FSGS2).
