The Trefoil Factor 1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1789) is a valuable tool for researchers studying Trefoil Factor 1 (TFF1), a protein involved in mucosal protection and wound healing. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.TFF1 is a member of the trefoil factor family, known for its role in promoting cell migration and proliferation, as well as maintaining the integrity of mucosal surfaces in the gastrointestinal tract. Research has shown that TFF1 is upregulated in response to tissue damage and plays a crucial role in the repair and regeneration of epithelial cells.
By targeting TFF1, researchers can investigate its functions in various physiological and pathological conditions, such as gastritis, gastric ulcers, and cancer. The ability to detect and analyze TFF1 protein levels in different cell types makes this antibody a valuable tool for studies in gastroenterology, oncology, and regenerative medicine.Overall, the Trefoil Factor 1 Polyclonal Antibody provides researchers with a reliable and specific tool for exploring the biological functions of TFF1 and its potential applications in therapeutic interventions for mucosal injuries and diseases.

Members of the trefoil family are characterized by having at least one copy of the trefoil motif, a 40-amino acid domain that contains three conserved disulfides. They are stable secretory proteins expressed in gastrointestinal mucosa. Their functions are not defined, but they may protect the mucosa from insults, stabilize the mucus layer, and affect healing of the epithelium. This gene, which is expressed in the gastric mucosa, has also been studied because of its expression in human tumors. This gene and two other related trefoil family member genes are found in a cluster on chromosome 21.
