The TPI1 Polyclonal Antibody is a critical tool for researchers studying the TPI1 protein, which plays a key role in glycolysis and energy metabolism. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity towards human samples, making it an ideal choice for Western blot applications. By binding to the TPI1 protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, thereby facilitating research in the fields of metabolism, cancer, and molecular biology.
TPI1, also known as triosephosphate isomerase 1, is an essential enzyme involved in the glycolytic pathway, converting glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate to dihydroxyacetone phosphate. Dysregulation of TPI1 has been associated with various diseases, including cancer and metabolic disorders. By studying the expression and function of TPI1 using this antibody, researchers can gain important insights into the role of glycolysis in disease pathology and potential therapeutic interventions.
Product Name:
TPI1 Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CAB21996
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit
Reactivity:
Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-249 of human TPI1 (NP_000356.1).
This gene encodes an enzyme, consisting of two identical proteins, which catalyzes the isomerization of glyceraldehydes 3-phosphate (G3P) and dihydroxy-acetone phosphate (DHAP) in glycolysis and gluconeogenesis. Mutations in this gene are associated with triosephosphate isomerase deficiency. Pseudogenes have been identified on chromosomes 1, 4, 6 and 7. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
Purification Method:
Affinity purification
