The TNRC6B Polyclonal Antibody (PACO57588) is a valuable tool for researchers studying TNRC6B, a key protein involved in post-transcriptional gene silencing and mRNA decay. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to TNRC6B, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of this protein in various cell types, making it ideal for studies in molecular biology and gene regulation.TNRC6B, also known as GW182, is a crucial component of the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC) and plays a vital role in the regulation of gene expression.
Its involvement in mRNA degradation and translational repression makes it a target of interest in research areas such as RNA interference, microRNA function, and gene silencing mechanisms. Understanding the function of TNRC6B can provide valuable insights into the control of gene expression and may have implications for the development of therapeutics targeting these pathways.

Immunofluorescence staining of A549 cells with PACO57588 at 1:133, counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde, permeabilized using 0.2% Triton X-100 and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4°C. The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 488-congugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L).
Background:
Plays a role in RNA-mediated gene silencing by both micro-RNAs (miRNAs) and short interfering RNAs (siRNAs). Required for miRNA-dependent translational repression and siRNA-dependent endonucleolytic cleavage of complementary mRNAs by argonaute family proteins. As scaffoldng protein associates with argonaute proteins bound to partially complementary mRNAs and simultaneously can recruit CCR4-NOT and PAN deadenylase complexes.
