The TNFSF12 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16458) is a valuable tool for researchers studying TNFSF12, also known as TWEAK, a cytokine involved in inflammation and immune responses. This antibody, produced in rabbits, has high reactivity towards human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to TNFSF12, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of TNFSF12 protein levels in various cell types.TNFSF12 is a multifunctional cytokine that plays a role in diverse biological processes, including cell survival, proliferation, and differentiation. It has been implicated in the pathogenesis of various diseases, such as autoimmune disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, and cancer.
Research on TNFSF12 is crucial for understanding its role in disease progression and for developing targeted therapies.Overall, the TNFSF12 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16458) is a valuable tool for researchers interested in studying the function and regulation of TNFSF12 in the context of inflammation, immune responses, and disease. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an ideal choice for experiments in immunology, oncology, and other related fields.

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. This protein is a ligand for the FN14/TWEAKR receptor. This cytokine has overlapping signaling functions with TNF, but displays a much wider tissue distribution. This cytokine, which exists in both membrane-bound and secreted forms, can induce apoptosis via multiple pathways of cell death in a cell type-specific manner. This cytokine is also found to promote proliferation and migration of endothelial cells, and thus acts as a regulator of angiogenesis. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Some transcripts skip the last exon of this gene and continue into the second exon of the neighboring TNFSF13 gene; such read-through transcripts are contained in GeneID 407977, TNFSF12-TNFSF13.
