The TNFAIP6 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6419) is a valuable tool for researchers studying TNFAIP6, a protein known for its roles in inflammation and extracellular matrix remodeling. Raised in rabbits, this antibody is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to TNFAIP6, the antibody allows for precise detection and analysis of this protein in a variety of cell types, making it ideal for research in immunology and the study of diseases such as cancer and arthritis.
TNFAIP6, also known as TSG-6, is a key player in the regulation of inflammation and tissue repair processes. Its involvement in modulating the immune response and maintaining tissue homeostasis makes it a promising target for therapeutic interventions aimed at controlling excessive inflammation and promoting tissue regeneration. By studying the role of TNFAIP6, researchers can gain insights into potential therapeutic strategies for a range of inflammatory and autoimmune conditions.

The protein encoded by this gene is a secretory protein that contains a hyaluronan-binding domain, and thus is a member of the hyaluronan-binding protein family. The hyaluronan-binding domain is known to be involved in extracellular matrix stability and cell migration. This protein has been shown to form a stable complex with inter-alpha-inhibitor (I alpha I), and thus enhance the serine protease inhibitory activity of I alpha I, which is important in the protease network associated with inflammation. This gene can be induced by proinflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor alpha and interleukin-1. Enhanced levels of this protein are found in the synovial fluid of patients with osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
