The TMLHE Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7312) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the TMLHE protein, an enzyme involved in carnitine biosynthesis. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific and reacts well with human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the TMLHE protein, researchers can easily detect and analyze its expression in various cell types, providing insights into its function in metabolic pathways.
TMLHE plays a crucial role in the biosynthesis of carnitine, a molecule essential for fatty acid metabolism and energy production. Dysregulation of TMLHE has been linked to metabolic disorders and cardiovascular diseases, making it a target for therapeutic interventions. Understanding the role of TMLHE in carnitine metabolism is vital for developing treatments for these conditions and exploring its potential as a biomarker for disease diagnosis and monitoring.
Product Name:
TMLHE Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

CAB7312
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit

Human
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 167-376 of human TMLHE (NP_001171726.1).
This gene encodes the protein trimethyllysine dioxygenase which is the first enzyme in the carnitine biosynthesis pathway. Carnitine play an essential role in the transport of activated fatty acids across the inner mitochondrial membrane. The encoded protein converts trimethyllysine into hydroxytrimethyllysine. A pseudogene of this gene is found on chromosome X. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
