Description
TMEFF2 Monoclonal Antibody [PJ4B6AT] (CPAB0559)
The TMEFF2 Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0559) is a valuable tool for researchers studying TMEFF2, a transmembrane protein known for its role in various cellular processes, including cell proliferation and migration. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the TMEFF2 protein, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of TMEFF2 expression in a variety of cell types, making it ideal for studies in cancer biology and neuroscience.
TMEFF2, also known as tomoregulin-2, is a promising target for research into cancer progression and neural development. Its involvement in regulating cell growth and migration suggests its potential as a biomarker or therapeutic target in cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. By investigating the functions of TMEFF2, researchers can gain valuable insights into disease mechanisms and potentially identify new strategies for treatment.

Background: | TMEFF2 is a gene encoding a plasma membrane protein with two follistatin-like domains and one epidermal growth factor€“like domain. TMEFF2 has limited normal tissue distribution and is highly overexpressed in prostate cancer. The shedded form of TMEFF2 up-regulates cancer cell proliferation, most likely by promoting ERK1/2 phosphorylation. TMEFF2 is down-regulated in tumor cell lines in response to a high level of methylation in the 5'' region. |
