The Thyroglobulin Polyclonal Antibody (CAB11708) is a valuable tool for researchers studying thyroid function and related disorders. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific and reactive with human samples, making it an ideal choice for various research applications.Thyroglobulin is a glycoprotein produced by the thyroid gland and is a key component in the synthesis of thyroid hormones. Abnormal levels of thyroglobulin can be indicative of thyroid disorders, making it a critical marker for diagnosis and monitoring of thyroid conditions. The Thyroglobulin Polyclonal Antibody binds specifically to thyroglobulin protein, enabling researchers to detect and analyze its expression in thyroid cells and tissues.
This antibody is validated for use in Western blot applications, providing reliable results for experiments related to thyroid function and disease.Overall, the Thyroglobulin Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers investigating thyroid biology, thyroid disorders, and related conditions. Its high specificity and reactivity with human samples make it an essential reagent for studies aiming to understand the role of thyroglobulin in health and disease.

Thyroglobulin (Tg) is a glycoprotein homodimer produced predominantly by the thryroid gland. It acts as a substrate for the synthesis of thyroxine and triiodothyronine as well as the storage of the inactive forms of thyroid hormone and iodine. Thyroglobulin is secreted from the endoplasmic reticulum to its site of iodination, and subsequent thyroxine biosynthesis, in the follicular lumen. Mutations in this gene cause thyroid dyshormonogenesis, manifested as goiter, and are associated with moderate to severe congenital hypothyroidism. Polymorphisms in this gene are associated with susceptibility to autoimmune thyroid diseases (AITD) such as Graves disease and Hashimoto thryoiditis.
