The THOP1 Antibody (CAB8756) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, produced through immunization of rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is suitable for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to THOP1 protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in various cell types, making it an ideal choice for studies in protease biology and peptide metabolism.THOP1, also known as thimet oligopeptidase, plays a crucial role in the regulation of peptide signaling pathways and neuropeptide metabolism.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

The protein encoded by this gene is a kininase that uses zinc as a cofactor. The encoded oligopeptidase cleaves cytosolic peptides, making them unavailable for display on antigen-presenting cells. This protein also cleaves neuropeptides under 20 aa in length and can degrade beta-amyloid precursor protein to amyloidogenic peptides.
