The TGM1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB13359) is a powerful tool for researchers studying transglutaminase 1 (TGM1), an enzyme involved in the formation of the cornified cell envelope in the skin. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific to human TGM1 and has been validated for use in Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications.TGM1 is crucial for normal skin development and barrier function, making it a key target for investigation in dermatological research. Mutations in the TGM1 gene are associated with several skin disorders, including lamellar ichthyosis and other forms of congenital ichthyosis.
By using the TGM1 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can detect and analyze TGM1 expression in skin tissue samples, providing valuable insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying these conditions.Furthermore, understanding the role of TGM1 in skin physiology and pathology may lead to the development of novel therapeutic approaches for treating skin diseases and promoting skin health. The TGM1 Polyclonal Antibody is an essential tool for advancing research in this field and uncovering new avenues for therapeutic intervention.
Product Name:
TGM1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 100-280 of human TGM1 (NP_000350.1).
The protein encoded by this gene is a membrane protein that catalyzes the addition of an alkyl group from an akylamine to a glutamine residue of a protein, forming an alkylglutamine in the protein. This protein alkylation leads to crosslinking of proteins and catenation of polyamines to proteins. This gene contains either one or two copies of a 22 nt repeat unit in its 3' UTR. Mutations in this gene have been associated with autosomal recessive lamellar ichthyosis (LI) and nonbullous congenital ichthyosiform erythroderma (NCIE).
