The TGFB1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16640) is a valuable tool for researchers studying TGFB1, a key cytokine involved in various biological processes, including immune regulation and tumor progression. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to the TGFB1 protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in a wide range of cell types, making it an essential component for studies in immunology and cancer research.TGFB1, also known as Transforming Growth Factor Beta 1, is a multifunctional protein that plays a critical role in cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis.
Dysregulation of TGFB1 signaling has been implicated in a variety of diseases, including cancer, fibrosis, and autoimmune disorders. Understanding the role of TGFB1 in these pathological processes is vital for the development of targeted therapies that can modulate aberrant TGFB1 signaling pathways. The TGFB1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16640) provides researchers with a reliable tool to investigate the expression and activity of TGFB1 in various experimental settings. Its specificity and sensitivity make it a valuable asset for elucidating the role of TGFB1 in health and disease, ultimately paving the way for the development of novel therapeutic interventions.

A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 291-390 of human TGF beta 1 (NP_000651.3).
This gene encodes a secreted ligand of the TGF-beta (transforming growth factor-beta) superfamily of proteins. Ligands of this family bind various TGF-beta receptors leading to recruitment and activation of SMAD family transcription factors that regulate gene expression. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate a latency-associated peptide (LAP) and a mature peptide, and is found in either a latent form composed of a mature peptide homodimer, a LAP homodimer, and a latent TGF-beta binding protein, or in an active form consisting solely of the mature peptide homodimer. The mature peptide may also form heterodimers with other TGFB family members. This encoded protein regulates cell proliferation, differentiation and growth, and can modulate expression and activation of other growth factors including interferon gamma and tumor necrosis factor alpha. This gene is frequently upregulated in tumor cells, and mutations in this gene result in Camurati-Engelmann disease.
