The TFPI Polyclonal Antibody (CAB12692) is a valuable tool for researchers studying Tissue Factor Pathway Inhibitor (TFPI), a key regulator of blood coagulation. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly specific to TFPI and is optimized for detection in human samples using Western blotting techniques.TFPI is essential for maintaining the balance of blood clotting and preventing excessive coagulation, making it a target of interest in cardiovascular research and studies on hemostasis. By binding specifically to TFPI, this antibody allows for precise detection and analysis of TFPI levels in various biological samples, providing crucial insights into its role in preventing thrombosis and regulating hemostasis.
The TFPI Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers investigating the mechanisms of blood coagulation and exploring therapeutic strategies for clotting disorders and cardiovascular diseases. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an essential reagent for studying TFPI function and its potential as a therapeutic target in various pathological conditions.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 29-224 of human TFPI (NP_001027452.1).
This gene encodes a Kunitz-type serine protease inhibitor that regulates the tissue factor (TF)-dependent pathway of blood coagulation. The coagulation process initiates with the formation of a factor VIIa-TF complex, which proteolytically activates additional proteases (factors IX and X) and ultimately leads to the formation of a fibrin clot. The product of this gene inhibits the activated factor X and VIIa-TF proteases in an autoregulatory loop. Inhibition of the encoded protein restores hemostasis in animal models of hemophilia. This gene encodes multiple protein isoforms that differ in their inhibitory activity, specificity and cellular localization.
