The TFF3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1978) is a valuable tool for researchers studying Trefoil Factor 3 (TFF3), a protein involved in maintaining mucosal integrity and promoting tissue repair in the gastrointestinal tract. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications.TFF3 is known for its role in protecting the gastrointestinal mucosa from damage and promoting healing after injury. It is implicated in various diseases including inflammatory bowel disease, gastric ulcers, and colorectal cancer.
The TFF3 Polyclonal Antibody enables detection and analysis of TFF3 in a variety of cell types, making it a versatile tool for researchers in the fields of gastroenterology, oncology, and inflammation research.Understanding the expression and function of TFF3 is crucial for developing therapeutic strategies for gastrointestinal disorders and cancer. By studying the role of TFF3 in mucosal protection and repair, researchers can gain insights into potential targets for drug development and personalized medicine approaches.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 22-94 of human TFF3 (NP_003217.3).
Members of the trefoil family are characterized by having at least one copy of the trefoil motif, a 40-amino acid domain that contains three conserved disulfides. They are stable secretory proteins expressed in gastrointestinal mucosa. Their functions are not defined, but they may protect the mucosa from insults, stabilize the mucus layer and affect healing of the epithelium. This gene is expressed in goblet cells of the intestines and colon. This gene and two other related trefoil family member genes are found in a cluster on chromosome 21.
