The TEK Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7222) offered by AssayGenie is a highly specific and reliable tool for researchers studying the TEK gene and its protein product. The antibody, produced in rabbits, is specifically designed for use in Western blot applications and is proven to react strongly with human samples.TEK, also known as TIE2, is a receptor tyrosine kinase that plays a crucial role in vascular development and angiogenesis. Dysregulation of TEK has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and inflammatory conditions. By targeting TEK, researchers can gain valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying these diseases and potentially develop novel therapeutic strategies.
With its high specificity and sensitivity, the TEK Polyclonal Antibody from AssayGenie is an essential tool for researchers investigating the function and regulation of the TEK protein in various biological processes. Whether studying angiogenesis, vascular biology, or cancer biology, this antibody is a valuable asset for advancing scientific understanding and potentially uncovering new treatment opportunities.

This gene encodes a receptor that belongs to the protein tyrosine kinase Tie2 family. The encoded protein possesses a unique extracellular region that contains two immunoglobulin-like domains, three epidermal growth factor (EGF)-like domains and three fibronectin type III repeats. The ligand angiopoietin-1 binds to this receptor and mediates a signaling pathway that functions in embryonic vascular development. Mutations in this gene are associated with inherited venous malformations of the skin and mucous membranes. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Additional alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described, but their full-length nature is not known.
