The TAS1R1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB10156) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the TAS1R1 receptor, which is involved in taste perception and signaling pathways. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.TAS1R1 is a part of the taste receptor family and plays a critical role in detecting umami taste, which is responsible for sensing savory flavors. By targeting the TAS1R1 protein, researchers can explore the mechanisms underlying taste perception and the impact of taste preferences on various physiological processes.
With its ability to bind specifically to TAS1R1, this antibody enables the detection and analysis of the receptor in different cell types, making it ideal for studies in sensory biology, nutrition, and food science. Understanding the function of TAS1R1 can provide insights into dietary preferences, taste disorders, and potential therapeutic strategies for conditions related to taste perception.
Product Name:
TAS1R1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CAB10156
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit
Reactivity:
Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 330-567 of human TAS1R1 (NP_619642.2).
The protein encoded by this gene is a G protein-coupled receptor and is a component of the heterodimeric amino acid taste receptor T1R1+3. The T1R1+3 receptor responds to L-amino acids but not to D-enantiomers or other compounds. Most amino acids that are perceived as sweet activate T1R1+3, and this activation is strictly dependent on an intact T1R1+3 heterodimer. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
