Description
TARDBP Monoclonal Antibody [Pk1B8AT] (CPAB0554)
The TDP-43 (TARDBP) Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0554) is a valuable tool for researchers studying TAR DNA-binding protein 43 (TDP-43), a key player in RNA processing and regulation. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to TDP-43 protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it ideal for investigations in neurology and neurodegenerative diseases.TDP-43 is a multifunctional protein involved in RNA metabolism, transcriptional regulation, and stress responses. Dysregulation of TDP-43 has been linked to neurodegenerative disorders such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD).
Research focused on understanding the role of TDP-43 in these diseases is essential for developing potential therapeutic interventions targeting TDP-43 pathology.By utilizing the TDP-43 Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0554), researchers can gain valuable insights into the function and localization of TDP-43 in various cellular contexts, advancing our understanding of its role in neurodegeneration and opening up new possibilities for targeted drug discovery and treatment strategies.

Background: | HIV-1, the causative agent of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), contains an RNA genome which produces a chromosomally integrated DNA during the replicative cycle. Activation of HIV-1 gene expression by the transactivator Tat is dependent on an RNA regulatory element (TAR) located downstream of the transcription initiation site. TARDBP is a transcriptional repressor which binds to chromosomally integrated TAR DNA and represses HIV-1 transcription. In addition, TARDBP regulates alternate splicing of the CFTR gene. A similar pseudogene is present on chromosome 20. |
