The Taldo1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB13551) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the Taldo1 protein, which is essential for energy production pathways in cells. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific and reactive with human samples. Validated for use in Western blot applications, it enables the detection and analysis of Taldo1 in various cell types.Taldo1, also known as transaldolase, plays a crucial role in the pentose phosphate pathway, a key metabolic pathway involved in energy production and nucleotide synthesis.
Dysregulation of Taldo1 has been linked to various diseases, including cancer and metabolic disorders. Research into the function and regulation of Taldo1 is important for understanding its role in cellular metabolism and developing targeted therapies for related diseases. The Taldo1 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for investigating the expression and function of Taldo1 in normal and diseased cells, making it an ideal choice for studies in biochemistry, cell biology, and metabolic disorders.

Transaldolase 1 is a key enzyme of the nonoxidative pentose phosphate pathway providing ribose-5-phosphate for nucleic acid synthesis and NADPH for lipid biosynthesis. This pathway can also maintain glutathione at a reduced state and thus protect sulfhydryl groups and cellular integrity from oxygen radicals. The functional gene of transaldolase 1 is located on chromosome 11 and a pseudogene is identified on chromosome 1 but there are conflicting map locations. The second and third exon of this gene were developed by insertion of a retrotransposable element. This gene is thought to be involved in multiple sclerosis.
