The Syndecan-1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1235) is a valuable tool for researchers studying Syndecan-1, a cell surface proteoglycan involved in cell adhesion, migration, and signaling. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications.Syndecan-1 is known to play a role in various physiological and pathological processes, including wound healing, inflammation, and cancer progression. By targeting Syndecan-1 with this antibody, researchers can accurately detect and analyze the protein in different cell types, providing valuable insights into its function and potential as a therapeutic target.
Investigating the expression and localization of Syndecan-1 using this antibody can contribute to our understanding of its role in disease development and progression, particularly in cancer research and biomarker discovery. With its high specificity and reliability, the Syndecan-1 Polyclonal Antibody is an essential tool for advancing research in cell biology and biomedical science.

The protein encoded by this gene is a transmembrane (type I) heparan sulfate proteoglycan and is a member of the syndecan proteoglycan family. The syndecans mediate cell binding, cell signaling, and cytoskeletal organization and syndecan receptors are required for internalization of the HIV-1 tat protein. The syndecan-1 protein functions as an integral membrane protein and participates in cell proliferation, cell migration and cell-matrix interactions via its receptor for extracellular matrix proteins. Altered syndecan-1 expression has been detected in several different tumor types. While several transcript variants may exist for this gene, the full-length natures of only two have been described to date. These two represent the major variants of this gene and encode the same protein.
