The Survivin Polyclonal Antibody (AB-117) is a valuable tool for researchers studying survivin, a protein known for its role in regulating cell division and preventing apoptosis. This antibody, generated in rabbits, demonstrates high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.Survivin is a crucial player in cancer biology, as its overexpression has been linked to tumor growth and resistance to therapy. By targeting survivin with this antibody, researchers can effectively detect and analyze its levels in different cell types, providing insight into its function in cancer development and progression.
Additionally, survivin has been implicated in other pathological processes, including neurodegeneration and autoimmune diseases. By studying survivin with this polyclonal antibody, researchers can expand their understanding of its role in various biological pathways and potentially uncover new therapeutic targets for a range of diseases.

This gene is a member of the inhibitor of apoptosis (IAP) gene family, which encode negative regulatory proteins that prevent apoptotic cell death. IAP family members usually contain multiple baculovirus IAP repeat (BIR) domains, but this gene encodes proteins with only a single BIR domain. The encoded proteins also lack a C-terminus RING finger domain. Gene expression is high during fetal development and in most tumors, yet low in adult tissues. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene.
