Description
SULT2A1 Monoclonal Antibody [PAT13E10AT] (CPAB0268)
The SULT2A1 Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0268) is specifically designed for research involving SULT2A1, a key enzyme involved in the metabolism of steroids. This antibody, raised in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the SULT2A1 protein, researchers can effectively detect and analyze its expression in various cell types, making it an ideal tool for studies in endocrinology and drug metabolism.SULT2A1 plays a crucial role in the sulfonation of steroids, which is essential for the regulation of steroid hormone activity in the body.
Its involvement in steroid metabolism makes it a valuable target for research into conditions such as hormonal disorders, cancer, and metabolic diseases. By investigating the function of SULT2A1, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying these diseases and potentially develop new therapeutic strategies targeting steroid metabolism pathways.

Background: | SULT2A1 is a member fo the sulfotransferase family. SULT2A1 is primarily expressed in liver and adrenal tissues, and to a lesser extent in kidney. SULT2A1 catalyzes the 3'-phosphoadenosine 5'-phosphosulfate-dependent sulfation of an extensive selection of steroids in human liver and adrenal tissues, and in addition is responsible for a larg number of the sulfation of bile acids in human liver. |
