The STX1A Polyclonal Antibody (CAB5570) is a specialized tool for researchers studying STX1A, a key protein involved in synaptic vesicle fusion and neurotransmitter release. This antibody is produced in rabbits and exhibits high reactivity with human samples, making it an essential tool for Western blot experiments. By binding specifically to STX1A, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it particularly valuable for investigations in neuroscience and neurology research.STX1A is a critical component of the synaptic machinery that regulates neurotransmitter release, making it essential for proper brain function and communication between neurons.
Dysregulation of STX1A has been linked to neurological disorders such as epilepsy, schizophrenia, and Parkinson's disease, highlighting the significance of studying this protein in both normal and pathological conditions. This antibody offers researchers a powerful tool to further explore the role of STX1A in brain function and develop potential therapeutic strategies for neurological disorders.

This gene encodes a member of the syntaxin superfamily. Syntaxins are nervous system-specific proteins implicated in the docking of synaptic vesicles with the presynaptic plasma membrane. Syntaxins possess a single C-terminal transmembrane domain, a SNARE [Soluble NSF (N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive fusion protein)-Attachment protein REceptor] domain (known as H3), and an N-terminal regulatory domain (Habc). Syntaxins bind synaptotagmin in a calcium-dependent fashion and interact with voltage dependent calcium and potassium channels via the C-terminal H3 domain. This gene product is a key molecule in ion channel regulation and synaptic exocytosis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
