The Stromelysin-1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1202) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the protease enzyme Stromelysin-1, which plays a crucial role in extracellular matrix degradation and tissue remodeling. This antibody, produced in rabbits, specifically targets the Stromelysin-1 protein in human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications.Stromelysin-1 is involved in various physiological and pathological processes, including wound healing, inflammation, and cancer metastasis. By targeting Stromelysin-1 with this antibody, researchers can gain insights into its expression levels, localization, and activity in different cell types.
This information is vital for understanding the role of Stromelysin-1 in disease progression and for developing potential therapeutic strategies targeting this enzyme. With its high reactivity and specificity, the Stromelysin-1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1202) is a valuable tool for studies in the fields of biochemistry, cell biology, and cancer research. By enabling precise detection and analysis of Stromelysin-1, this antibody helps advance our understanding of the complex mechanisms underlying tissue remodeling and disease pathogenesis.

Proteins of the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) family are involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix in normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, and tissue remodeling, as well as in disease processes, such as arthritis and metastasis. Most MMP's are secreted as inactive proproteins which are activated when cleaved by extracellular proteinases. This gene encodes an enzyme which degrades fibronectin, laminin, collagens III, IV, IX, and X, and cartilage proteoglycans. The enzyme is thought to be involved in wound repair, progression of atherosclerosis, and tumor initiation. The gene is part of a cluster of MMP genes which localize to chromosome 11q22.3.
