The STAT5B Polyclonal Antibody (CAB12356) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the STAT5B protein, a critical transcription factor involved in signal transduction pathways in various cellular processes. This rabbit-derived antibody is highly specific, showing strong reactivity with human samples in Western blot applications. By binding to the STAT5B protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types.STAT5B plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression and cell proliferation, making it a key player in processes such as immune response, cell differentiation, and oncogenesis.
Dysregulation of STAT5B has been implicated in a variety of diseases, including cancer, autoimmune disorders, and metabolic diseases. By understanding the role of STAT5B in these conditions, researchers can develop targeted therapies that modulate its activity.Overall, the STAT5B Polyclonal Antibody is a versatile tool for scientists conducting research in immunology, cancer biology, and signal transduction pathways. Its high specificity and reactivity make it an ideal choice for studies aimed at unraveling the complexities of STAT5B function and its implications in human health and disease.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the STAT family of transcription factors. In response to cytokines and growth factors, STAT family members are phosphorylated by the receptor associated kinases, and then form homo- or heterodimers that translocate to the cell nucleus where they act as transcription activators. This protein mediates the signal transduction triggered by various cell ligands, such as IL2, IL4, CSF1, and different growth hormones. It has been shown to be involved in diverse biological processes, such as TCR signaling, apoptosis, adult mammary gland development, and sexual dimorphism of liver gene expression. This gene was found to fuse to retinoic acid receptor-alpha (RARA) gene in a small subset of acute promyelocytic leukemias (APLL). The dysregulation of the signaling pathways mediated by this protein may be the cause of the APLL.
