The STAT5B Polyclonal Antibody (CAB0275) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the STAT5B protein, a key transcription factor involved in cell signaling pathways and cellular responses to growth factors and cytokines. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the STAT5B protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in various cell types, making it ideal for investigations in cell biology, signal transduction, and cancer research.STAT5B is a crucial mediator of cellular processes such as cell growth, differentiation, and survival, making it a significant target for studies in oncology, immunology, and developmental biology.
Dysregulation of STAT5B signaling has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, autoimmune disorders, and metabolic disorders, highlighting the importance of understanding its functions and mechanisms of action. The use of the STAT5B Polyclonal Antibody in research can provide insights into the role of STAT5B in both normal physiological processes and disease states, ultimately contributing to the development of targeted therapies and interventions.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the STAT family of transcription factors. In response to cytokines and growth factors, STAT family members are phosphorylated by the receptor associated kinases, and then form homo- or heterodimers that translocate to the cell nucleus where they act as transcription activators. This protein mediates the signal transduction triggered by various cell ligands, such as IL2, IL4, CSF1, and different growth hormones. It has been shown to be involved in diverse biological processes, such as TCR signaling, apoptosis, adult mammary gland development, and sexual dimorphism of liver gene expression. This gene was found to fuse to retinoic acid receptor-alpha (RARA) gene in a small subset of acute promyelocytic leukemias (APLL). The dysregulation of the signaling pathways mediated by this protein may be the cause of the APLL.
