The STAT5A Polyclonal Antibody (CAB11779) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the STAT5A protein, a crucial component in signal transduction pathways involved in cell growth and differentiation. This polyclonal antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.STAT5A is a transcription factor that plays a central role in the regulation of genes that control cell proliferation, survival, and differentiation. Dysregulation of STAT5A signaling has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and autoimmune disorders.
By targeting STAT5A with this antibody, researchers can investigate its expression levels and activity in different cell types, providing valuable insights into its role in disease pathogenesis. With its high reactivity and specificity, the STAT5A Polyclonal Antibody (CAB11779) is an essential tool for studies in cell biology, cancer research, and immunology. By enabling the detection and analysis of STAT5A protein, this antibody supports the advancement of knowledge in signaling pathways that govern normal and pathological cell functions.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the STAT family of transcription factors. In response to cytokines and growth factors, STAT family members are phosphorylated by the receptor associated kinases, and then form homo- or heterodimers that translocate to the cell nucleus where they act as transcription activators. This protein is activated by, and mediates the responses of many cell ligands, such as IL2, IL3, IL7 GM-CSF, erythropoietin, thrombopoietin, and different growth hormones. Activation of this protein in myeloma and lymphoma associated with a TEL/JAK2 gene fusion is independent of cell stimulus and has been shown to be essential for tumorigenesis. The mouse counterpart of this gene is found to induce the expression of BCL2L1/BCL-X(L), which suggests the antiapoptotic function of this gene in cells. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.
