The STAT5A Monoclonal Antibody (CAB21228) is a powerful tool for researchers studying the signal transducer and activator of transcription 5A (STAT5A) protein. STAT5A is a key player in various cellular processes, including cell growth, differentiation, and survival. This monoclonal antibody, produced through hybridoma technology, is highly specific to human STAT5A and is suitable for use in Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications.By targeting the STAT5A protein, this antibody enables researchers to examine the activation and expression levels of STAT5A in different cell types and tissues.
This information is crucial for understanding the role of STAT5A in various biological processes, making it an ideal tool for studies in cancer biology, immunology, and developmental biology. The STAT5A Monoclonal Antibody (CAB21228) offers high sensitivity and specificity, allowing for accurate and reliable results in research experiments. With its ability to detect STAT5A in human samples, this antibody is a valuable resource for scientists looking to unravel the complexities of cellular signaling pathways and identify potential therapeutic targets for cancer and other diseases.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the STAT family of transcription factors. In response to cytokines and growth factors, STAT family members are phosphorylated by the receptor associated kinases, and then form homo- or heterodimers that translocate to the cell nucleus where they act as transcription activators. This protein is activated by, and mediates the responses of many cell ligands, such as IL2, IL3, IL7 GM-CSF, erythropoietin, thrombopoietin, and different growth hormones. Activation of this protein in myeloma and lymphoma associated with a TEL/JAK2 gene fusion is independent of cell stimulus and has been shown to be essential for tumorigenesis. The mouse counterpart of this gene is found to induce the expression of BCL2L1/BCL-X(L), which suggests the antiapoptotic function of this gene in cells. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.
