The STAT5a/b Monoclonal Antibody (CAB5029) is a high-quality research tool specifically designed for studying the STAT5a/b proteins, key regulators of cell signaling pathways involved in cell growth, differentiation, and survival. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits strong reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blotting applications.STAT5a/b proteins are essential transcription factors that play a crucial role in mediating cellular responses to various cytokines and growth factors. Dysregulation of STAT5a/b signaling has been implicated in numerous diseases, including cancer, autoimmune disorders, and inflammatory conditions.
By targeting and detecting STAT5a/b proteins, researchers can gain valuable insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying these diseases and develop potential therapeutic interventions. With its high specificity and sensitivity, the STAT5a/b Monoclonal Antibody (CAB5029) is an invaluable tool for researchers in immunology, oncology, and cell signaling studies. Its ability to accurately detect and quantify STAT5a/b proteins in various experimental settings makes it a versatile and reliable resource for advancing our understanding of signaling pathways and developing targeted therapies for a wide range of diseases.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 600-786 of human STAT5 (P42229).
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the STAT family of transcription factors. In response to cytokines and growth factors, STAT family members are phosphorylated by the receptor associated kinases, and then form homo- or heterodimers that translocate to the cell nucleus where they act as transcription activators. This protein is activated by, and mediates the responses of many cell ligands, such as IL2, IL3, IL7 GM-CSF, erythropoietin, thrombopoietin, and different growth hormones. Activation of this protein in myeloma and lymphoma associated with a TEL/JAK2 gene fusion is independent of cell stimulus and has been shown to be essential for tumorigenesis. The mouse counterpart of this gene is found to induce the expression of BCL2L1/BCL-X(L), which suggests the antiapoptotic function of this gene in cells. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2013]
