The STAT4 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CAB4523) is a powerful tool for researchers studying STAT4, a key transcription factor involved in immune responses and inflammation. This monoclonal antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and suitable for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the STAT4 protein, this antibody allows for precise detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it an invaluable asset for researchers in fields such as immunology and cancer research.STAT4 is a crucial player in the regulation of immune responses, particularly in the differentiation of T helper 1 cells and the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines.
Dysregulation of STAT4 activity has been linked to various autoimmune disorders and inflammatory conditions, making it a prime target for therapeutic interventions. By elucidating the function of STAT4, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying these diseases and potentially develop new treatment strategies aimed at modulating immune responses.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the STAT family of transcription factors. In response to cytokines and growth factors, STAT family members are phosphorylated by the receptor associated kinases, and then form homo- or heterodimers that translocate to the cell nucleus where they act as transcription activators. This protein is essential for mediating responses to IL12 in lymphocytes, and regulating the differentiation of T helper cells. Mutations in this gene may be associated with systemic lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants that encode the same protein.
