The STAT2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB14995) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the STAT2 protein, which plays a key role in signaling pathways that regulate immune responses and antiviral defense mechanisms. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blotting applications.STAT2 is a transcription factor that forms part of the ISGF3 complex, which is critical for the induction of interferon-stimulated genes in response to viral infection. By specifically binding to STAT2, this antibody enables the detection and analysis of STAT2 expression levels in various cell types, making it an ideal choice for studies in immunology, virology, and infectious disease research.
Given STAT2's importance in the antiviral response and immune regulation, understanding its function and regulation is crucial for developing new therapies and treatments for viral infections, autoimmune diseases, and other immune-related disorders. The STAT2 Polyclonal Antibody provides researchers with a valuable tool for investigating the role of STAT2 in these processes and advancing our knowledge of immune responses.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 550-706 of human STAT2 (NP_005410.1).
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the STAT protein family. In response to cytokines and growth factors, STAT family members are phosphorylated by the receptor associated kinases, and then form homo- or heterodimers that translocate to the cell nucleus where they act as transcription activators. In response to interferon (IFN), this protein forms a complex with STAT1 and IFN regulatory factor family protein p48 (ISGF3G), in which this protein acts as a transactivator, but lacks the ability to bind DNA directly. The protein mediates innate antiviral activity. Mutations in this gene result in Immunodeficiency 44.
