The STAT1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB12075) is a valuable tool for research into the signal transducer and activator of transcription 1 (STAT1) protein, which plays a key role in mediating cellular responses to cytokines and growth factors. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific and reactive with human samples, validated for use in Western blot applications. It binds to STAT1, enabling precise detection and analysis in various cell types, making it an essential tool for studies in immunology, cell signaling, and cancer research.STAT1 is a crucial transcription factor that regulates the expression of genes involved in immune responses, cell growth, and apoptosis.
Dysregulation of STAT1 signaling has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, autoimmune disorders, and viral infections. Understanding the functions and regulation of STAT1 is essential for developing targeted therapies and treatments for these conditions. The STAT1 Polyclonal Antibody offers researchers a reliable and efficient means of studying the complex roles of STAT1 in cellular processes and disease pathogenesis. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an indispensable tool for investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying immune responses and potential therapeutic interventions.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the STAT protein family. In response to cytokines and growth factors, STAT family members are phosphorylated by the receptor associated kinases, and then form homo- or heterodimers that translocate to the cell nucleus where they act as transcription activators. The protein encoded by this gene can be activated by various ligands including interferon-alpha, interferon-gamma, EGF, PDGF and IL6. This protein mediates the expression of a variety of genes, which is thought to be important for cell viability in response to different cell stimuli and pathogens. The protein plays an important role in immune responses to viral, fungal and mycobacterial pathogens. Mutations in this gene are associated with Immunodeficiency 31B, 31A, and 31C.
