ST14 is a type II transmembrane serine protease that plays a crucial role in the activation of various protease-activated receptor (PARs) and is involved in several physiological processes such as inflammation, cell growth, and differentiation. The ST14 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6135) is specifically designed for researchers studying the function and regulation of ST14.This antibody, produced in rabbits, reacts strongly with human ST14 and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the ST14 protein, researchers can accurately detect and analyze ST14 expression in different cell types, providing valuable insights into its role in various cellular processes.
ST14 is known to be dysregulated in various diseases, including cancer, inflammatory disorders, and skin diseases, making it a potential target for therapeutic interventions. By understanding the role of ST14 in disease progression, researchers can develop new treatment strategies that target ST14-mediated pathways. In summary, the ST14 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6135) is a valuable tool for researchers investigating the function of ST14 in inflammation, cell growth, and disease. Its high reactivity with human samples and validated performance in Western blot applications make it an ideal choice for studies in the fields of immunology, oncology, and inflammation research.

The protein encoded by this gene is an epithelial-derived, integral membrane serine protease. This protease forms a complex with the Kunitz-type serine protease inhibitor, HAI-1, and is found to be activated by sphingosine 1-phosphate. This protease has been shown to cleave and activate hepatocyte growth factor/scattering factor, and urokinase plasminogen activator, which suggest the function of this protease as an epithelial membrane activator for other proteases and latent growth factors. The expression of this protease has been associated with breast, colon, prostate, and ovarian tumors, which implicates its role in cancer invasion, and metastasis.
