The SRSF2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB3635) is a valuable tool for researchers studying SRSF2, a key protein involved in RNA splicing and gene expression regulation. This antibody is produced by Assay Genie through immunization of rabbits and is highly specific to human samples. Validated for use in Western blot applications, this antibody binds specifically to the SRSF2 protein, allowing for accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types.SRSF2 is a member of the serine/arginine-rich splicing factor family and plays a crucial role in pre-mRNA splicing, alternative splicing, and mRNA export. Dysregulation of SRSF2 has been linked to various diseases, including cancer, neurodevelopmental disorders, and viral infections.
By utilizing the SRSF2 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can gain insight into the function and expression levels of SRSF2 in different cellular contexts, furthering our understanding of its role in health and disease. With its high specificity and sensitivity, the SRSF2 Polyclonal Antibody is an essential tool for studies in molecular biology, genetics, and disease mechanisms. By investigating the function of SRSF2, researchers may uncover novel therapeutic targets and diagnostic markers for a range of conditions, ultimately contributing to advancements in personalized medicine and precision healthcare.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the serine/arginine (SR)-rich family of pre-mRNA splicing factors, which constitute part of the spliceosome. Each of these factors contains an RNA recognition motif (RRM) for binding RNA and an RS domain for binding other proteins. The RS domain is rich in serine and arginine residues and facilitates interaction between different SR splicing factors. In addition to being critical for mRNA splicing, the SR proteins have also been shown to be involved in mRNA export from the nucleus and in translation. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein and one non-coding transcript variant have been found for this gene. In addition, a pseudogene of this gene has been found on chromosome 11.
