The SPARC Polyclonal Antibody (CAB14494) is a valuable tool for researchers studying SPARC, a secreted extracellular matrix protein involved in cell signaling, tissue remodeling, and tumorigenesis. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity in detecting SPARC protein in human samples, making it suitable for use in Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications.SPARC, also known as secreted protein acidic and rich in cysteine, is a multifunctional protein that influences processes such as cell adhesion, migration, and angiogenesis. Elevated levels of SPARC have been associated with various cancers, including breast, pancreatic, and ovarian cancer, highlighting its potential as a biomarker and therapeutic target.
By utilizing the SPARC Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can gain insights into the role of SPARC in cancer biology, tumor microenvironment interactions, and potential therapeutic interventions. Its versatility in detecting SPARC expression in different cell types and tissues makes it a valuable asset for studies focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying cancer progression and metastasis.

This gene encodes a cysteine-rich acidic matrix-associated protein. The encoded protein is required for the collagen in bone to become calcified but is also involved in extracellular matrix synthesis and promotion of changes to cell shape. The gene product has been associated with tumor suppression but has also been correlated with metastasis based on changes to cell shape which can promote tumor cell invasion. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
