Description
SOX2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6171)
The SOX2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6171) is a crucial tool for research involving the SOX2 protein, a key transcription factor involved in stem cell pluripotency and development. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly specific for detection of human SOX2 and has been validated for use in various applications, including Western blot and immunohistochemistry.SOX2 is known for its essential role in maintaining the self-renewal and pluripotency of embryonic stem cells, as well as in the development of various tissues and organs. Its dysregulation has been implicated in a variety of diseases, including cancer and neurodevelopmental disorders.
Research into the function and regulation of SOX2 is critical for understanding its role in these conditions and for developing potential targeted therapies. The SOX2 Polyclonal Antibody allows for precise detection and analysis of SOX2 expression in different cell types and tissues, making it an invaluable tool for researchers studying stem cell biology, developmental biology, and cancer biology. By targeting SOX2, this antibody opens doors for investigating the mechanisms underlying disease progression and for identifying new therapeutic strategies aimed at manipulating SOX2 activity.

This intronless gene encodes a member of the SRY-related HMG-box (SOX) family of transcription factors involved in the regulation of embryonic development and in the determination of cell fate. The product of this gene is required for stem-cell maintenance in the central nervous system, and also regulates gene expression in the stomach. Mutations in this gene have been associated with optic nerve hypoplasia and with syndromic microphthalmia, a severe form of structural eye malformation. This gene lies within an intron of another gene called SOX2 overlapping transcript (SOX2OT).
