Description
SOX2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB11936)
The SOX2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB11936) is a valuable tool for researchers studying SOX2, a transcription factor critical for maintaining pluripotency and self-renewal in stem cells. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and is validated for use in Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications.SOX2 plays a crucial role in embryonic development and is also implicated in various cancers, making it a key target for research in regenerative medicine and oncology. The SOX2 Polyclonal Antibody binds specifically to the SOX2 protein, allowing for accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types.
By studying the function and expression of SOX2, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying cell fate determination, tissue regeneration, and tumorigenesis. The SOX2 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for investigating the role of SOX2 in various physiological and pathological processes, making it an essential reagent for studies in developmental biology, cancer biology, and regenerative medicine.

This intronless gene encodes a member of the SRY-related HMG-box (SOX) family of transcription factors involved in the regulation of embryonic development and in the determination of cell fate. The product of this gene is required for stem-cell maintenance in the central nervous system, and also regulates gene expression in the stomach. Mutations in this gene have been associated with optic nerve hypoplasia and with syndromic microphthalmia, a severe form of structural eye malformation. This gene lies within an intron of another gene called SOX2 overlapping transcript (SOX2OT).
