The SOCS1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7754) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the suppressor of cytokine signaling 1 (SOCS1) protein, a key regulator of immune signaling pathways. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot assays. By specifically recognizing the SOCS1 protein, researchers can investigate its function and expression levels in various cell types, making it particularly useful for studies in immunology and cancer research.SOCS1 is known for its role in dampening immune responses by inhibiting cytokine signaling and inflammatory pathways.
Dysregulation of SOCS1 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, autoimmune disorders, and infectious diseases. Therefore, understanding the mechanisms by which SOCS1 functions is crucial for the development of targeted therapies that aim to modulate immune responses in these pathological conditions.Overall, the SOCS1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7754) provides researchers with a reliable tool to delve into the intricate regulatory networks of the immune system and explore new avenues for therapeutic interventions in immune-related diseases.

This gene encodes a member of the STAT-induced STAT inhibitor (SSI), also known as suppressor of cytokine signaling (SOCS), family. SSI family members are cytokine-inducible negative regulators of cytokine signaling. The expression of this gene can be induced by a subset of cytokines, including IL2, IL3 erythropoietin (EPO), CSF2/GM-CSF, and interferon (IFN)-gamma. The protein encoded by this gene functions downstream of cytokine receptors, and takes part in a negative feedback loop to attenuate cytokine signaling. Knockout studies in mice suggested the role of this gene as a modulator of IFN-gamma action, which is required for normal postnatal growth and survival.
