Description
SNCG Monoclonal Antibody (CPAB0737)
The SncG Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0737) is a cutting-edge product designed for researchers interested in studying the SncG protein, which is involved in synaptic vesicle exocytosis. This antibody, raised in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to the SncG protein, this antibody allows for precise detection and analysis in various cell types, making it an invaluable tool for investigations in neurobiology and neuroscience research.SncG, also known as synuclein gamma, plays a crucial role in neurotransmitter release by facilitating the fusion of synaptic vesicles with the presynaptic membrane.
Dysregulation of SncG has been implicated in various neurological disorders, including Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease. By gaining a deeper understanding of the function and regulation of SncG, researchers may uncover potential therapeutic targets for the treatment of these debilitating conditions.Overall, the SncG Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0737) offers researchers a reliable and highly specific tool for investigating the role of SncG in synaptic transmission and neurodegenerative diseases. Its versatility and sensitivity make it an essential component of any laboratory focused on advancing our understanding of the intricate mechanisms underlying neuronal communication.

Background: | Gamma-synuclein (Originally known as a breast cancer specific gene product, BCSG1) is an acidic neuronal protein of 127 amino acids. Gamma-Synuclein is a member of the Synuclein protein family, which is believed to be involved in the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases. High levels of Gamma-Synuclein have been found in advanced breast carcinomas suggesting a correlation between overexpression of SNCG and breast tumor development. Synuclein-Gamma is found mostly in the peripheral nervous system (in primary sensory neurons, sympathetic neurons, and motor neurons) and retina. SNCG is also identified in the brain, ovarian tumors, and in the olfactory epithelium. SNCG expression in breast tumors is a marker for tumor progression. A modification in the expression of gamma-synuclein has been detected in the retina of Alzheimer''s patients. |
