Description
SNCA [PAT1E10A] (CPAB0573)
The SNCA (1-140) Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0573) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the alpha-synuclein protein, which is known for its involvement in neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to the SNCA (1-140) protein and is validated for use in Western blot applications.Alpha-synuclein is a key player in the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease, as it forms abnormal protein aggregates in the brain cells of affected individuals. By targeting the SNCA (1-140) protein, researchers can gain valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying neurodegeneration and potentially uncover new therapeutic targets for the treatment of Parkinson's disease.
With its high reactivity and specificity, the SNCA (1-140) Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0573) is an essential tool for studying alpha-synuclein biology in both normal and disease states. Its use in research may lead to a better understanding of Parkinson's disease and the development of novel treatment strategies for this devastating condition.

Background: | a-Synuclein (amino acids 1-140), an acidic neuronal protein of 140 amino acids, is extremely heat-resistant and is natively unfolded with an extended structure primarily composed of random coils. a-synuclein has been suggested to be implicated in the pathogenesis of Parkinson€™s disease and related neurodegenerative disorders, and more recently, to be an important regulatory component of vesicular transport in neuronal cells. Moreover, recent studies have shown that a-synuclein has chaperone activity and that this activity is lost upon removing its C-terminal acidic tail (amino acids 96-140). |
