The Snap29 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB4290) is a valuable tool for researchers studying Snap29, a protein involved in membrane fusion and vesicular trafficking processes in cells. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to Snap29, this antibody enables the detection and analysis of the protein in various cell types, making it an ideal choice for studies in cell biology and molecular biology.Snap29, also known as synaptosomal-associated protein 29, plays a crucial role in intracellular membrane fusion events, particularly in endocytic and exocytic pathways within cells.
Dysregulation of Snap29 has been implicated in various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and lysosomal storage diseases. By understanding the function and localization of Snap29, researchers can gain insights into cellular processes and potentially develop targeted therapies for related conditions.Overall, the Snap29 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers seeking to investigate the role of Snap29 in cellular processes and diseases, providing a reliable means for detecting and studying this important protein.

This gene, a member of the SNAP25 gene family, encodes a protein involved in multiple membrane trafficking steps. Two other members of this gene family, SNAP23 and SNAP25, encode proteins that bind a syntaxin protein and mediate synaptic vesicle membrane docking and fusion to the plasma membrane. The protein encoded by this gene binds tightly to multiple syntaxins and is localized to intracellular membrane structures rather than to the plasma membrane. While the protein is mostly membrane-bound, a significant fraction of it is found free in the cytoplasm. Use of multiple polyadenylation sites has been noted for this gene.
