The SNAP25 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB0986) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the SNARE protein SNAP25, which plays a crucial role in synaptic vesicle exocytosis. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to SNAP25, this antibody enables the detection and analysis of this protein in various cell types, making it an essential component for studies in neuroscience and neurology.SNAP25 is a key player in neurotransmitter release at synapses, making it a target of interest in research on neurological diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and epilepsy.
Understanding the function and regulation of SNAP25 is essential for uncovering the underlying mechanisms of these disorders and developing new therapeutic strategies.Overall, the SNAP25 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers investigating synaptic transmission and neurological disorders, providing crucial insights into the role of SNAP25 in normal brain function and disease pathology.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-206 of human SNAP25 (NP_570824.1).
Synaptic vesicle membrane docking and fusion is mediated by SNAREs (soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein receptors) located on the vesicle membrane (v-SNAREs) and the target membrane (t-SNAREs). The assembled v-SNARE/t-SNARE complex consists of a bundle of four helices, one of which is supplied by v-SNARE and the other three by t-SNARE. For t-SNAREs on the plasma membrane, the protein syntaxin supplies one helix and the protein encoded by this gene contributes the other two. Therefore, this gene product is a presynaptic plasma membrane protein involved in the regulation of neurotransmitter release. Two alternative transcript variants encoding different protein isoforms have been described for this gene.
