The SMARCE1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB13353) is a valuable tool for researchers studying SMARCE1, a protein involved in chromatin remodeling and gene regulation. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the SMARCE1 protein, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of SMARCE1 in various cell types, making it ideal for studies in molecular biology and cancer research.SMARCE1, a member of the SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complex, plays a critical role in regulating gene expression and cellular processes such as DNA repair and cell proliferation.
Dysregulation of SMARCE1 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and developmental disorders. Therefore, understanding the function of SMARCE1 is essential for uncovering potential therapeutic targets and developing treatments for these conditions.Overall, the SMARCE1 Polyclonal Antibody provides researchers with a reliable tool for investigating the role of SMARCE1 in chromatin remodeling and disease pathogenesis, ultimately advancing our understanding of cellular biology and potential treatment strategies.

The protein encoded by this gene is part of the large ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complex SWI/SNF, which is required for transcriptional activation of genes normally repressed by chromatin. The encoded protein, either alone or when in the SWI/SNF complex, can bind to 4-way junction DNA, which is thought to mimic the topology of DNA as it enters or exits the nucleosome. The protein contains a DNA-binding HMG domain, but disruption of this domain does not abolish the DNA-binding or nucleosome-displacement activities of the SWI/SNF complex. Unlike most of the SWI/SNF complex proteins, this protein has no yeast counterpart.
