Description
SMARCAD1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB24882)
The SMARCA4 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB24882) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the SMARCA4 protein, a key player in chromatin remodeling and gene regulation. This antibody, generated through immunization of rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity for SMARCA4 in human samples, making it ideal for Western blotting applications. By targeting the SMARCA4 protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis in various cell types, facilitating research in areas such as epigenetics, gene expression, and cancer biology.
SMARCA4, also known as BRG1, is a member of the SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complex and is involved in regulating gene expression by altering chromatin structure. Dysregulation of SMARCA4 has been implicated in various cancers, highlighting its importance as a potential therapeutic target. By studying the function and regulation of SMARCA4, researchers can gain insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying cancer development and potentially identify new strategies for cancer treatment.

This gene encodes a member of the SNF subfamily of helicase proteins. The encoded protein plays a critical role in the restoration of heterochromatin organization and propagation of epigenetic patterns following DNA replication by mediating histone H3/H4 deacetylation. Mutations in this gene are associated with adermatoglyphia. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene.
