The SLC4A10 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB13810) is a valuable tool for researchers studying SLC4A10, a solute carrier family protein involved in ion transport and pH regulation in various tissues, including the brain and kidney. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the SLC4A10 protein, researchers can detect and analyze its expression in different cell types, enabling investigations into its role in maintaining cellular pH homeostasis and its potential implications in neurological and renal diseases.SLC4A10, also known as sodium bicarbonate cotransporter 10, plays a critical role in regulating intracellular pH levels by mediating the transport of bicarbonate ions across cell membranes.
Dysregulation of SLC4A10 function has been associated with various disorders, such as epilepsy, migraine, and renal tubular acidosis. Understanding the mechanisms underlying SLC4A10 activity is crucial for developing targeted therapies for these conditions and advancing our knowledge of ion transport physiology.Overall, the SLC4A10 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB13810) provides researchers with a valuable tool for investigating the function and significance of SLC4A10 in health and disease, offering new insights into ion transport regulation and potential therapeutic targets in neurological and renal disorders.

This gene belongs to a small family of sodium-coupled bicarbonate transporters (NCBTs) that regulate the intracellular pH of neurons, the secretion of bicarbonate ions across the choroid plexus, and the pH of the brain extracellular fluid. The protein encoded by this gene was initially identified as a sodium-driven chloride bicarbonate exchanger (NCBE) though there is now evidence that its sodium/bicarbonate cotransport activity is independent of any chloride ion countertransport under physiological conditions. This gene is now classified as a member A10 of the SLC4 family of transmembrane solute carriers. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms.
