The SLC35A2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7233) is a valuable tool for researchers studying SLC35A2, a member of the solute carrier family of proteins involved in nucleotide sugar transport. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the SLC35A2 protein, this antibody allows for precise detection and analysis in various cell types, making it ideal for research in glycobiology and glycosylation disorders.SLC35A2 plays a crucial role in the transportation of nucleotide sugars across cell membranes, essential for various biological processes such as glycosylation, which is vital for protein function and cell signaling.
Dysregulation of SLC35A2 has been implicated in various diseases, including congenital disorders of glycosylation, making it a promising target for therapeutic interventions.By utilizing the SLC35A2 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into the function and regulation of SLC35A2, ultimately advancing our understanding of glycosylation pathways and their implications in human health and disease.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-242 of human SLC35A2 (NP_001027460.1).
This gene encodes a member of the nucleotide-sugar transporter family. The encoded protein is a multi-pass membrane protein. It transports UDP-galactose from the cytosol into Golgi vesicles, where it serves as a glycosyl donor for the generation of glycans. Mutations in this gene cause congenital disorder of glycosylation type IIm (CDG2M). Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene.
