The SLC25A20 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6880) is a powerful tool for researchers studying the SLC25A20 protein, also known as carnitine-acylcarnitine translocase (CACT). This antibody is raised in rabbits and has been rigorously validated for use in Western blot applications, providing reliable detection of SLC25A20 in human samples.SLC25A20 is a crucial mitochondrial protein involved in the transport of acylcarnitines across the inner mitochondrial membrane, playing a key role in fatty acid metabolism and energy production. Dysregulation of SLC25A20 has been linked to various metabolic disorders, making it a promising target for research in the fields of metabolism, bioenergetics, and mitochondrial diseases.
By using the SLC25A20 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can accurately study the expression and localization of SLC25A20 in different cell types and tissues, furthering our understanding of its physiological functions and potential therapeutic implications. This antibody is an essential tool for investigating the role of SLC25A20 in metabolic pathways and its implications for human health.

This gene product is one of several closely related mitochondrial-membrane carrier proteins that shuttle substrates between cytosol and the intramitochondrial matrix space. This protein mediates the transport of acylcarnitines into mitochondrial matrix for their oxidation by the mitochondrial fatty acid-oxidation pathway. Mutations in this gene are associated with carnitine-acylcarnitine translocase deficiency, which can cause a variety of pathological conditions such as hypoglycemia, cardiac arrest, hepatomegaly, hepatic dysfunction and muscle weakness, and is usually lethal in new born and infants.
