The SLC22A1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1739) is a valuable tool for researchers studying SLC22A1, a member of the solute carrier family. This cell surface protein is involved in the transport of small molecules across cell membranes, playing a crucial role in drug metabolism and elimination.Raised in rabbits, this antibody is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to SLC22A1 protein, researchers can accurately detect and analyze its expression in various cell types, providing insights into its function and potential therapeutic applications.
SLC22A1 is known to play a key role in the uptake and excretion of endogenous compounds and drugs, making it a target for studies in pharmacology, toxicology, and personalized medicine. Understanding the function and regulation of SLC22A1 can lead to the development of novel therapies and strategies for improving drug efficacy and reducing toxicity in patients.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 43-149 of human SLC22A1 (O15245).
Polyspecific organic cation transporters in the liver, kidney, intestine, and other organs are critical for elimination of many endogenous small organic cations as well as a wide array of drugs and environmental toxins. This gene is one of three similar cation transporter genes located in a cluster on chromosome 6. The encoded protein contains twelve putative transmembrane domains and is a plasma integral membrane protein. Two transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene, but only the longer variant encodes a functional transporter.
